Hear out Syria
While reading this poem written by a thirteen-year-old Syrian girl, Amineh Abou Kerech who survived the Syrian war, I was at complete loss for words. I cried my heart out by reading twice her simple words explaining at best our before-war simple but peaceful life. Like her I have also lived as a refugee for two and half years before finally getting a place to live in England. I know how terrified we were in those days...
